Nichole opened the meeting with a Moment of Silence followed by the Serenity Prayer.
We have the hall for hour to hour and 20 minutes which is the reasoning for the timed reports we are going to present this to the body and request a vote.
It was suggested that we read the long version of the Tradition for the month which was agreed upon doing.
We would also continue to request the reports to be in written form.
February H&I Business Meeting we created to new positions which one of them was the Newcomer Liaisons. We decided that the information that we would need to get for the Liaison to hand out to the New Reps to HI were
• A Coordinator contact sheet
• What to expect for a report
• Aaron’s hand out regarding H&I
• Mission statement
• Pink Can Label
The other position was for a Service Coordinator. Tracey had agreed to send an e-mail to the Intergroup’s to let them know that Matt is the contact for this position. Arron B was going to talk to Matt regarding this position.
It was discussed regarding to have Dennis D on the Steering Committee and it was voted in approval to ask him to be on the committee. Tracey said that she would do this.
FUNdraiser (Jamboree) The committee thought that it might be a good idea to sell T-Shirts and arm bands. The recommendation from the Steering Committee was DEFINITELY NOT to sell T-shirts as this goes against the Traditions and as far as the arm bands rather than selling them to ask for a financial donation and not to order any more. The event date is set for April 19th at 4848.
Vandeen was in attendance as a guest as he comes from Ca and has been involved in Service in Ca. He spoke of his experience from California and said that he was willing to be of service if we decided that we needed it.
The meeting was closed with the Responsibility Pledge at 8:50 PM.
